Getting the job finished. The files are ready and the paper has been selected. Now it’s about knowing printers in the industry, following up with the file as it is placed on the press, and ensuring your project’s quality.
“I need 5000 of these 4-color printed, can you help?”
ClarkeDesign has extensive experiencing not only working with printers, but working at the printers. Understanding the language of a skilled printer is key to ensuring jobs come out just as you want them…on-time and looking perfect!
Selecting the right printer for your print design job is key. Several factors come into play such as print-run size, color needs, binding, die-cutting, and collating. Knowing who in the industry can handle these skills best, and negotiating with them upfront prices that meet your budget, is key to a successful job. After a job is handed off to the printer, I make sure to keep open dialog and perform press-checks with them until everything is completed. If you have a company in mind to print with, that is great! Let me know early on so I can make sure everything they need is provided in the best manner.
